Conventional Wisdom of Most Programs to Quit Nicotine



“Conventional wisdom” will tell you the best way to get free from nicotine is to by replacing the vape or cigarette with a patch, or gum. But there is no recovery from nicotine if you are still giving yourself nicotine in another form. 

 

“Conventional wisdom” will tell you that you have a bad habit. The truth is you are addicted to nicotine. That is, you are powerless over nicotine, and you are hooked. You have lost the ability to control using it. Yes, the use of it is habitual but your use of it is more than just a bad habit.

 

“Conventional wisdom” will tell you to substitute something in place of the vape or cigarette. But when you do, you end up transferring your dependency from nicotine to sugar, caffeine, salt, or anything you turn to in replacing your need for a hit of nicotine.

 

“Conventional wisdom” will tell you to avoid situations where you would vape or smoke. But how is that practically possible?  Must you always get up from the table, avoid friends and family gatherings, run around the block rather than watch the news, avoid resting after the bathroom, i.e all those times when you would normally smoke or vape?
